What is Neon?

Neon is one of Brazil’s leading fintechs, founded in 2016 with the mission of offering fair and accessible financial products to Brazilian workers. Today, the company serves more than 32 million customers with a complete portfolio that includes no-fee debit and credit cards, personal loans, CDB investments (Short-term deposit), cashback, payment solutions, and MEI Fácil, which supports micro-entrepreneurs across the country.

What was Neon’s biggest challenge?

During its rapid growth cycle, Neon had to deal with a significant increase in transaction volume, especially in banking products under the supervision of the Central Bank. The main challenge was not only the regulatory aspect, but also the operational complexity of managing multiple products with distinct financial flows.

A clear example was the PIX Crédito, which requires precise reconciliation between card balances and PIX payment flows. Maintaining control, visibility, and consistency in these processes, at scale, demanded a robust technical approach, essential for sustaining growth with security and efficiency.

How did we solved this?

To overcome these challenges, Neon implemented Simetrik as its centralized financial reconciliation platform, ensuring automation, governance, and scalability. This eliminated operational failures and accelerated the detection and resolution of discrepancies.
